Newest Million Mile Drivers Honored at “S.T.A.R.” Awards
April 5, 2016- (Springfield, Ma) Peter Pan Bus Lines honors the newest One Million Mile Drivers at the annual S.T.A.R. (Super Team Achievement & Recognition) Awards Dinner at the Sheraton Springfield Hotel, eight (8) motorcoach operators from the company’s divisions in Boston, MA, New York/New Jersey; Providence, RI; and Springfield, MA were saluted as Peter Pan’s newest One Million Mile Drivers.
The National Safety Council defines One Million Miles as the equivalent of twelve consecutive years of driving without an accident of any kind; or as paraphrased by Chairman and CEO, Peter Picknelly, “4.2 trips to the moon, and 40 times around the earth”……quite an impressive achievement!
Formally inducted into the elite “Million Mile Club” were Francis Fowler (Boston); Rudolph Greaves (New York); Richard Guptill (Boston); Vladimir Icitovic (Boston); Aniece Lembo (Providence); Walter Medianero (Springfield); Roberto Nieves (Springfield); and Cristian Villar (Washington D.C.)
