Mayor Spicer Announces Extended Service with Peter Pan Bus Lines
Framingham, Massachusetts – Today, Mayor Spicer announced that Peter Pan Bus Lines will continue service for an additional year. After hearing from local constituents on the need for early morning service, Dr. Spicer began a constructive dialogue with Peter Picknelly of Peter Pan Bus Lines. Peter Pan provides daily service from Framingham’s golden triangle and had previously considered cutting back on services.
“Since I took office, the people and their concerns have always been a priority for me. This is about providing transportation options for our people. Peter Pan and Framingham have enjoyed a wonderful relationship, and Mr. Picknelly and I will work together to continue providing transportation services to the city of Framingham.”
Peter Pan seeks to boost ridership between Framingham and Boston. After discussing their target market and current efforts, the city has suggested a collaboration with Peter Pan around a robust marketing plan. Including, but not limited to, providing introductions to nearby Framingham multifamily and hotel managers, supporting company social media efforts, clarifying the company’s offering on www.chooseframingham.com’s access page. Peter Pan CEO Peter Picknelly said “Working with the Mayor of Framingham, along with other City and State officials, we are pleased to continue our daily express service to Boston. Our convenient daily service brings commuters directly into downtown Boston serving Copley Square, Park Square, Government Center and South Station”
The joint effort of the Mayor’s office, Office of the Senate President and Peter Pan is a partnership that keeps Framingham moving forward.
